United Nation Celebrate its 64th Anniversary. United Nations Day has traditionally been marked throughout the world with meetings, discussions and exhibits about the achievements and goals of the organization. In 1971, the General Assembly recommended that member states observe it as a public holiday.
Several international schools throughout the world also celebrate the diversity of their student body on United Nations Day .Celebrations often include a show of cultural performances in the evening and a food fair, where food is available from all over the world.
In the United States, the President has issued a proclamation each year for United Nations Day since 1946. The most recent such proclamation was issued by Barack Obama.
Our school celebrated it in the most simple manner, but really sophisticated. Our teacher in History, Sir Jhun Villalon assigned and picked students who are capable of explaining to young ones the essence of celebrating the United Nations day. The programs vision is to show the achievements and success of the United Nations. It's theme is "Peace and Democracy : Let your Voice Heard !"
What can I say to the theme is simple but a lot of meaning on it . Even though we celebrated it in the most simple way, most of the students are well informed about the UN celebration.

Then for the final stage, William ask a favor for Robert to help her. but Robert Denied at first. but then, He can't resist william so they combined again.
When the war starting to clash, at first, William's side Wins. But a traitor showed up. The cavalry go away from the war w/o helping William. Also Robert, Traitor ed her.
When William knew that Robert is an Traitor too, he was demoralized.
He loosed hope in Winning the battle. But Robert attacked with his concierge, so he Helped William to off into the war.
William take revenged. He killed the traitor, and planned again to push the lower city.
He is about to speak to robert, when The guard's of english men grabbed him and imprisoned him.
William sentenced a death.
When William is on the place where he will be exiled, he shouted FREEDOM, then
he was killed.

The portrayal of Robert I of scotland in the film is considered by historians to be wildly inaccurate. In particular his taking the field on the English side in the battle of Falkirk is completely fictitious; Bruce was not present at Falkirk. Although he repeatedly changed alliances between the rebels and the English, mostly for political reasons, Bruce never betrayed Wallace directly, and Wallace was known to have been a complete supporter of Bruce. The film's depiction of the Battle of Stirling Bridge shows the Scots facing off the English on a flat plain on equal terms, when in reality, it took place at a bridge where the outnumbered Scots were able to concentrate their forces on the overextended English who were in the process of crossing the bridge.

Moon to turn red during partial lunar eclipse this month -- Pagasa
The Philippines will have a chance to see the moon turn red during a partial lunar eclipse expected this month, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said.
According to the agency’s astronomical diary for June, a lunar eclipse will appear as a partial lunar eclipse in the country on June 26. Around half of the moon will be covered, with PAGASA estimating the eclipse’s magnitude (the size of the eclipsed part) at 54.2 percent.
The eclipse will begin at 4:55 p.m. local time, with the greatest eclipse at 7:38 p.m. and end at 10:21 p.m.
“Lunar eclipses are safe to watch and observers need not use any kind of protective filters for the eyes. A pair of binoculars will help magnify the view and will make the red coloration of the moon brighter,” said PAGASA Administrator Prisco Nilo.
The annual Bootid meteor shower will also be active from June 26 to July 2. While the peak of the shower is slated for June 27, PAGASA said little or no showers are expected to be visible because of a full moon on June 26.
The shower comes from debris ejected by Comet 7P/Pons-Winnecke. The radiant of the shower will originate from the constellation of Bootes, the Herdsman, which lies in the northern sky.
Also in June, nights in the country will be shortest and the daytime longest at the Summer solstice on June 21. During the summer solstice, the northern part of earth tilts towards the sun with the sun seemingly at a stand still in the sky.
Some countries and cultures in the northern hemisphere consider the summer solstice as the first day of the summer season while cultures in the southern hemisphere consider it the first day of winter.

SC upholds suspension on ‘Ang Dating Daan’
MANILA, Philippines – The Supreme Court upheld the three-month suspension imposed by government censors on the television program “Ang Dating Daan [The Old Way]” due to offensive remarks by its host, religious leader Eliseo Soriano.
Voting 11-4 vote, the high court, in a decision penned by Associate Justice Presbitero Velasco, said the suspension was not a prior restraint, but rather a “form of permissible administrative sanction or subsequent punishment.”
The court also affirmed the power of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) to impose such a suspension “without running afoul of the free speech clause.”
The suspension order stemmed from a complaint filed by members of the Iglesia ni Cristo including minister Michael Sandoval, host of the TV show “Ang Tamang Daan [The Right Way],” who said Soriano alluded to him with cuss words.
Among the offensive remarks Sandoval cited include: “Gago ka talaga, Michael [You’re really stupid, Michael],” “Masahol ka pa sa putang babae [You’re worse than a whore],” and “Sobra ang kasinungalingan ng mga demonyong ito [These demons are lying too much].”
The high court said Soriano’s statements “can be treated as obscene, at least with respect to the average child,” and cannot be considered as protected speech.
The court cited the time slot of Soriano’s show and the fact that it was rated “G” of for general patronage made children more vulnerable to his statements.
The MTRCB initially slapped Soriano’s program with a 20-day suspension, which was later lengthened to a three-month suspension.
But the high court clarified that the suspension was limited only to the show not Soriano, as the MTRCB “may not suspend television personalities for such would be beyond its jurisdiction.”
However, Chief Justice Reynato S. Puno, in a separate dissenting opinion, said that a single government action could be both a penalty and a prior restraint.
He said the three-month suspension acted as a restraint to Soriano’s future speech. He said that “in the absence of proof and reason, he [Soriano] should not be penalized with a three-month suspension that works as a prior restraint on his speech.”
Also dissenting, Justice Antonio Carpio called the suspension “an unconstitutional prior restraint on freedom of expression” which should not have been allowed.
He said prior restraint can be justified only if they was “pornography, false or misleading advertisement, advocacy of imminent lawless action, and [or] danger to national security,” and “obviously, what petitioner uttered does not fall under any of the four.”

Massacre witness knew his days were numbered
MANILA, Philippines—He knew he was a dead man walking the moment he fled the hinterlands of Shariff Aguak in Maguindanao.
In an interview with a select group of reporters on March 9, Suwaib Upham disclosed that he feared for his life as he bared an alleged plot by Andal Ampatuan Jr. to silence him.
He said it was a matter of time before hired killers would get to him.
Barely three months after the interview, an assassin’s bullets felled the man who may have been a vital witness in prosecuting the powerful clan accused of orchestrating the country’s worst election-related murders.
“Datu Unsay (Andal Jr.) will stop at nothing to kill those who knew about the massacre, including myself,” Upham told reporters in a thick Maguindanao accent.
By Upham’s own account, Andal Jr. talked to Kanor Ampatuan over the phone sometime in February. During the conversation, he said he heard Andal Jr. say he wanted him killed to prevent him from spilling the beans on the influential political clan about their role in the November 23 slaughter of 57 people in Maguindanao.
At that time, Andal Jr. was already locked up at the National Bureau of Investigation jail in Manila.
“They were really powerful. He was able to talk with Datu Kanor regularly even if he was already inside the jail,” Upham said.
He said he and a number of militiamen went with Kanor, then the vice mayor of Salibo town, to seek refuge in the mountains of Shariff Aguak after state forces launched a manhunt for them.
The interview, done inside a rented room of a hotel in Ortigas, Pasig City, was arranged by public interest lawyer Harry Roque and his colleagues who had been helping some of the massacre victims’ families.
At that time, Roque requested the media not to divulge Upham’s real identity for security reasons.
Upham himself chose the name “Jesse” as alias for the one-hour interview.
A burly man in his late 20s, Upham wore a shawl to cover his face while answering questions from reporters as TV crews shot footage of the interview.
During the interview, columnist Ellen Tordesillas helped him translate some of his statements in a Visayan dialect as he could barely speak Filipino.
At times, he would remove the shawl as he sneered at how Andal Jr. wielded his power in the impoverished province of Maguindanao.
Journalists who heard him talk of Andal Jr.’s notoriety were bowled over by his stories about the chainsaw murders and other horrid crimes purportedly perpetrated by the scion of the most powerful family in his province.
Once, he said, Andal Jr. gunned down a man after the hapless victim refused to “share” his wife with him.
His vivid narration of the supposed killings somehow confirmed the myths about how the clan maintained its fiefdom.
“Nobody could go against their will in Maguindanao. They kill even their relatives who question their decisions,” he said.
To prove his intimate dealings with the Ampatuans, Upham disclosed that Andal Jr. fondly called President Gloria MacapagalArroyo “Nanay” (Mother) whenever she visited the Ampatuan mansion in Shariff Aguak.
He said Andal Jr. would even kiss Arroyo’s hands to show his respect during her meetings with the Ampatuans.
Despite the threats to his life, Upham said he decided to surface “to tell the truth.”
“I decided to come out because I want Datu Unsay (Andal Ampatuan Jr.) and Datu Kanor behind bars and to pay for the crimes they committed,” he said.
“I was bothered by my conscience. I pity the innocent people they killed,” he added.
According to him, he was a member of a police auxiliary unit in Maguindanao assigned as “special bodyguard” of Kanor.
Kanor, Andal Jr.’s cousin, was one of the primary suspects the Department of Justice charged in the massacre.
Although state prosecutors presented several witnesses, Upham was the first to admit direct participation in the carnage.
Describing himself as a neighborhood toughie, Upham said he started working as Kanor’s close-in security escort in 2008.
He said it was Andal who recruited him to work as police auxiliary agent and later assigned him to Kanor, receiving a monthly salary of P3,000 and a sack of rice.
“In Maguindanao, the word of the Ampatuans was the law. No one went against what Datu Unsay wanted to happen because he would not hesitate to kill anyone who disobeyed his wishes,” he said in a separate affidavit furnished the Inquirer.
He said Kanor and Andal were “inseparable” and “were like brothers.”
“It is for (this) reason that I gained intimate knowledge of the workings of the Ampatuan clan, especially of Datu Unsay and Datu Kanor,” he said.
In an interview with a select group of reporters on March 9, Suwaib Upham disclosed that he feared for his life as he bared an alleged plot by Andal Ampatuan Jr. to silence him.
He said it was a matter of time before hired killers would get to him.
Barely three months after the interview, an assassin’s bullets felled the man who may have been a vital witness in prosecuting the powerful clan accused of orchestrating the country’s worst election-related murders.
“Datu Unsay (Andal Jr.) will stop at nothing to kill those who knew about the massacre, including myself,” Upham told reporters in a thick Maguindanao accent.
By Upham’s own account, Andal Jr. talked to Kanor Ampatuan over the phone sometime in February. During the conversation, he said he heard Andal Jr. say he wanted him killed to prevent him from spilling the beans on the influential political clan about their role in the November 23 slaughter of 57 people in Maguindanao.
At that time, Andal Jr. was already locked up at the National Bureau of Investigation jail in Manila.
“They were really powerful. He was able to talk with Datu Kanor regularly even if he was already inside the jail,” Upham said.
He said he and a number of militiamen went with Kanor, then the vice mayor of Salibo town, to seek refuge in the mountains of Shariff Aguak after state forces launched a manhunt for them.
The interview, done inside a rented room of a hotel in Ortigas, Pasig City, was arranged by public interest lawyer Harry Roque and his colleagues who had been helping some of the massacre victims’ families.
At that time, Roque requested the media not to divulge Upham’s real identity for security reasons.
Upham himself chose the name “Jesse” as alias for the one-hour interview.
A burly man in his late 20s, Upham wore a shawl to cover his face while answering questions from reporters as TV crews shot footage of the interview.
During the interview, columnist Ellen Tordesillas helped him translate some of his statements in a Visayan dialect as he could barely speak Filipino.
At times, he would remove the shawl as he sneered at how Andal Jr. wielded his power in the impoverished province of Maguindanao.
Journalists who heard him talk of Andal Jr.’s notoriety were bowled over by his stories about the chainsaw murders and other horrid crimes purportedly perpetrated by the scion of the most powerful family in his province.
Once, he said, Andal Jr. gunned down a man after the hapless victim refused to “share” his wife with him.
His vivid narration of the supposed killings somehow confirmed the myths about how the clan maintained its fiefdom.
“Nobody could go against their will in Maguindanao. They kill even their relatives who question their decisions,” he said.
To prove his intimate dealings with the Ampatuans, Upham disclosed that Andal Jr. fondly called President Gloria MacapagalArroyo “Nanay” (Mother) whenever she visited the Ampatuan mansion in Shariff Aguak.
He said Andal Jr. would even kiss Arroyo’s hands to show his respect during her meetings with the Ampatuans.
Despite the threats to his life, Upham said he decided to surface “to tell the truth.”
“I decided to come out because I want Datu Unsay (Andal Ampatuan Jr.) and Datu Kanor behind bars and to pay for the crimes they committed,” he said.
“I was bothered by my conscience. I pity the innocent people they killed,” he added.
According to him, he was a member of a police auxiliary unit in Maguindanao assigned as “special bodyguard” of Kanor.
Kanor, Andal Jr.’s cousin, was one of the primary suspects the Department of Justice charged in the massacre.
Although state prosecutors presented several witnesses, Upham was the first to admit direct participation in the carnage.
Describing himself as a neighborhood toughie, Upham said he started working as Kanor’s close-in security escort in 2008.

Daniel Razon leads inaugural for free college education
Broadcast journalist Daniel Razon spearheaded the opening of the newest educational facility in Caloocan City, the La Verdad Christian College (La Verdad College) on June 15. This is another bold step in public service which responds to the need for college education among the less privileged youths in the country.
Together with Ang Dating Daan host Bro. Eli Soriano, Razon worked for the country's first free college education to help especially the poor but deserving high school graduates and out-of-school youths (OSY's) who desire to finish studies and acquire a college diploma worry-and-hassle-free.
“There are those who really want to study but they hardly can ... One may be capable of studying but cannot do so ... (Now) why not give them a chance as well? For as long as we see the potential, the willingness to learn and [we see] the sincerity and perseverance, we will help them,” Razon said in an interview.
An educator himself, Razon experienced the difficulty of working one's way to finish studies and attests how hard it was also for some of his former classmates to pull through college, one of them he had to help by working while both were striving to earn a degree.
Razon, also the Chairman and President of La Verdad College, reveals that the school gains support from private individuals and NGO's who share the same vision with Bro. Eli Soriano, founder and President Emeritus of the College. Among these institutions include the Kamanggagawa Foundation, Kabalikat sa Pamamahayag or KAPI, and the Members Church of God International [known locally as Ang Dating Daan].
La Verdad College scholars will be receiving a full grant which includes free tuition, books, uniform, and meals. In the future, additional free bus service and dormitory will be provided to students who may find it hard to commute.
Razon’s free education program also received much help from fund raising events and projects he helped organized, such as the YCONCON: Isang Araw Lang, The Sequel in August of 2009, Isang Araw Lang Takbo Para Sa Libreng Kolehiyo on January 31, Isang Araw Lang The Movie, and KAPI's benefit concert Another Night to Remember last June 1. The initial capital outlay of PhP35-million was funded by Bro. Eli Soriano and Mr. Daniel Razon for the construction of the projected ten-story building in the College's present site.
Initially, 500 scholars are expected to enroll both in Apalit, Pampanga main branch and in Caloocan this school year. They will be enjoying a four-year degree AB Broadcasting course and two-year diploma-courses such as Computer Programming, Mass Communication, International Cookery, Office Management, and Nursing Assistant, all TESDA accredited programs.
Razon hopes that the College will have more branches in other parts of the country, and eventually reach the University level.
The inaugural of the La Verdad College building coincides with the opening of school year 2010 – 2011.
